NOW Foods Beta-Carotene 7500 mcg delivers a high-potency source of provitamin A in a convenient once-daily softgel. Each softgel provides 7,500 mcg of beta-carotene — equivalent to 833% of the daily reference value for Vitamin A — sourced from Blakeslea trispora , a naturally occurring microorganism, and sunflower oil. Beta-carotene is a carotenoid that the body converts to Vitamin A as needed, supporting normal metabolism in a carefully regulated way.
Vitamin A contributes to the maintenance of normal skin, the maintenance of normal vision, the normal function of the immune system, and the maintenance of normal mucous membranes. Each softgel is suspended in organic extra virgin olive oil and stabilised with mixed tocopherols from sunflower oil. The softgel shell is made with BSE-free bovine gelatin, ensuring responsible sourcing standards.
