Turmeric is the root; curcumin is the yellow pigment in it. The difference between products on this shelf is mainly which of the two you are buying. TURMERIC POWDER is the whole root milled. Curcumin content is low, around three per cent, and the price reflects that. CURCUMIN EXTRACT is standardised, usually to 95 per cent curcuminoids.
