Carb powders

Carb powders are sold in bags of 1–5 kilos and used to raise the energy content of a drink or a meal without adding fat. THE SOURCES DIFFER IN TEXTURE. Maltodextrin is neutral and dissolves easily. Dextrose is sweet and dissolves fastest. Waxy maize starch is thicker in the glass. Oat flour is coarser and goes into porridge and shakes rather than water. UNFLAVOURED OR FLAVOURED. Unflavoured powders mix into anything; flavoured ones are meant to be drunk as they are. An unflavoured powder is more useful if your protein is already flavoured. PRICE PER KILO is what varies most. Carb powders are among the cheapest products per kilo in the range, and the large bags bring the price down further. THE BRANDS. Trained by JP and Naughty Boy carry the flavoured ranges, Applied Nutrition and Olimp Nutrition the unflavoured bulk bags.
