Q10 is sold as two forms of the same substance, and that is the single most important distinction on this shelf. UBIQUINONE is the oxidised form. It is more stable, cheaper and found in most products. If the tub says only "CoQ10", it is almost always ubiquinone. UBIQUINOL is the reduced form. It is more sensitive to air and light, is therefore sold in softgels, and costs more per milligram. Products containing it say so explicitly. DOSES range from 30 to 300 mg per capsule. The figure is on the front. OIL OR POWDER. Q10 is fat-soluble, and oil-filled softgels are the most common format. Powder capsules exist and are cheaper. KANEKA is a brand of Japanese-made Q10 that several ranges use and name on the pack. DOSAGE is stated on the pack and should be followed. THE BRANDS.
